(Stan.store is an all in one selling platform created to use as a link-in-bio where you can sell digital products, coaching, etc.)
I’ve been a website girlie for as long as I can remember. I’ve owned so many domains and literally build websites as my day job, okay?
So when all of the digital marketers, content creators, coaches, and digital product sellers starting using Stan as their link-in-bio and selling digital products, coaching, etc. straight from this simple program, I have to admit that I stuck my nose up and thought that it was a terrible move.
My argument against using Stan.store was pretty good – websites give you an edge with marketing your business and you *own* your website. You can get found in searches, have total control over your website, and it’s much more professional as a small business owner to have a true website to share with potential customers rather than just a link-in-bio.
So for a few years while I dabbled in selling digital products, I used everything from Thrivecart to Flodesk Checkout, avoiding Stan like it was a friend that talked behind my back.
I saw creators making hundreds of thousands of dollars and sales exploding by simply moving over to Stan, but still refused to jump on the bandwagon.
It wasn’t until this summer when I launched Homegrown Instagram (a guide to growing your Instagram following fast and easy with aligned followers) that I realized I had been totally wrong about this program.
It was listed on Flodesk Checkout for a few days when I realized that conversions were super low – Flodek only allowed card information and no other payment options and Flodesk wouldn’t auto-populate their card numbers in the app, so people were Xing out when they realized they would need to go find their debit card to buy the guide – and rarely returning to complete checkout.
My husband thought I was crazy when I explained to him how that simple inconvenience would cost me a lot of sales, but I’ve been in business long enough to know that if something is complicated, it’s dead in the water.
I stayed up late and moved my digital product over to a brand new Stan.store and starting seeing sales roll in the same week. Most payments are with Paypal, so that missing peice alone dramatically increased conversions.
Not only that, but the ability to have everything I need to make thousands per month is right within the Stan.store. I’m able to add coaching options, affiliate links, ebooks, video courses, and soon I’ll be able to start a community membership inside of my one Stan.store.
Now that I’ve created this blog, I can even link my Stan sales pages and checkouts throughout blog posts and pages to keep all of my sales inside the store – I had been thinking about Stan all wrong.
Let’s talk MONEY.
Within the first month of using it, I made $3k with a brand new digital product and had $0 fees taken from my sales except for the $30/month flat rate. Payment processors like Stripe and Paypal always take their little cut, but as far as Stan? Not a dime more than their flat rate fee.
I have plans to upgrade to the $99/month option soon so I can take advantage of even more of their features, but I really could do everything I need to make a full time income on their $30/month plan.
If you’re curious about using Stan and how easy it could be for you, here’s my referral link.
There’s a free trial so that you can practice setting up your store and getting your links live before you ever pay the monthly fee. I had made quite a few sales within those free two weeks and knew I’d be a dedicated Stan.store gal from there on out!
